I somewhat enjoyed those forums (far more than ACC for the most part). I have tried emailing the webmaster of both AXA and Megadoomer and never got any replies. Kinda giving up hope here.

I'm bummed out about it as I loved blogging there from the perspective of my character in my town. I posted pictures of my accomplishments, made emoticons of my character, and other fun stuff. I know I can do something similar here at LJ, but it would be nice to at least retrieve my old entries.

I also have a question about friend codes and visitors-
How do you determine if someone is going to be a respectful and nice visitor? I want to play with someone but I'm worried they won't play nice. Is there a forum you'd recommend that has a rating system or something like it?

I'm not new to AC -- I've had it for 2 years -- but I erased all of my data months ago thinking that I didn't have a lot of free time. Now I'm starting over again today and welcoming all visitors! My name is Ky, and my town is named Beldyn. My fc is 0002-3799-6759, and I am on at random times during the day, every day, but mostly around 1pm, EST. Just keep in mind that I have a crappy Wi-Fi connection and may not be able to connect all the time.

zombiejanedoe pointed out last week that the next North American DLC will be a Pink DSLite bench and a Snowman hat.

The DSLite bench will be available between December 5th and 19th, and the Snowman hat will follow on December 21st through January 4th.

Japanese players will be given a Christmas Wreath starting December 17th through the 25th.

So there is the final update... Over the past day we have processed around 11 million jobs out of the 12 million that were in queue at that time. Please bear in mind that over this past day, more jobs for notifications are also created. So while the queue has been dropping, we are still not fully caught up at this point, due to backlog and new jobs. We have roughly 3 million jobs still pending that involve the notification system in some manner. We had hoped we could have fully cleared the queue in a day, but unfortunately we can't clear it too quickly, since we need the rest of the site to operate normally. From our current perspective on the amount of jobs that are left in queue, and how many it has processed thus far, we believe it will take around another 8 - 12 hours to process everything.

About the wiiconnect. Normally I have WPA2 security, but when I want to get the free things from nintendo in my game I switch my net to WEP so my wii can connect. (I assume it can't connect to WPA2 like the DS, correct me if I'm wrong?)

For some reason this time when I switched from WPA2 to WEP my slot illumination turned off and won't come back on, and I'm not getting any downloaded content. (The last item I got was the torimer poster.) I've messed with the settings in the game and made sure wiiconnect was on, tested the connection, etc etc, and it still won't work.

I hope to have this fixed soon because I really want that pink DS that's coming out.

Edit: Ok, switched to WPA2, entered the password, made sure the connection test worked, and made sure all my wiiconnect settings were turned on in game and on the wii. It's still not working. *shakes fist*

Edit 2: Ok, it just started working. O_o So I guess I'm good, thanks!

Hey Everyone, we are about to run the last alter job that we need to on our database servers. This will effect userpics / scrapbook / vgift images for the next few hours. Have no fear, your images aren't lost, there is just a really intensive process running on the servers which store the information for mogilefs. I just wanted to let you all know that we are going to be performing some mogilefs maintenance over the next few days. We will be upgrading our current version to latest stable as well as changing some db config information to better handle the amount of files we are currently hosting. This shouldn't cause a big impact on site stability, but you may see some minor delays with userpic / scrapbook images appearing or other requests associated with our mogilefs. We would love to not have that happen, but unfortunately with some of the steps we need to take we have to cause a delay with images. I figured this was a better solution than taking down all of LiveJournal because well lets face it, we all need our daily LJ fix ;)

European players will finally get in on the Anniversary Cake goodness. Celebrate the first year of Let's Go to the City with the Anniversary Cake. It will be distributed to European players between December 5th and 21st.

Nintendo of America finally updated their DLC page to notify players of the Shopping Cart, which has a distribution window of November 27th through December 3rd (tomorrow lol). The next-item-hint is as follows: "The next scheduled delivery celebrates the anniversary of the release of Animal Crossing: Wild World!" Here's hoping it's a portrait of a neighbor. That was a fun feature of Wild World and I was sad that it was removed from City Folk.
